At Fjordways, you can expect an adventure full of discoveries, challenges, and plenty of fun! We’ll share our journey of buying and operating a tour boat with no prior experience, showing everything from maintenance, management, and licensing, to our daily experiences at sea.

We are Gi and Jo, an adventurous couple who decided to embark on a unique journey: buying and operating a tour boat... with no prior experience!
Our boat, which can accommodate up to 50 passengers, offers relaxing 5-hour trips where our guests can enjoy delicious food and drinks, in a service similar to that of a floating restaurant.
But Fjordways is much more than just boat trips. Our real mission is to share all the challenges, lessons, and fun moments that come with running this boat.
On our YouTube channel, we explore, in a relaxed way with a touch of humor, everything involved in the operation: from boat maintenance, logistics, and obtaining licenses, to our daily adventures at sea.

About Us
M/S Cacus is an impressive 20-meter wooden vessel, built in 1968 in Mo i Rana, Norway.
Originally known as Dr. Holmboe, this boat began its journey as a floating hospital, traveling to the remote islands of the Finnmark region, providing medical care to local communities.
By the late 1970s, it completed its mission and was sold to a private owner who brought it to Oslo. Initially used for leisure, Cacus started offering charters through the stunning Oslo fjords in the early 1990s.
Our story with this boat began in 2015 when we decided to acquire it and continue its incredible journey. Today, Cacus sails with a new mission: to provide unique experiences to our passengers as we explore the fjords, serving great food, drinks, and sharing its rich history.
